Pesticide Applicator Training

Pesticide training programs last 4 hours from 8am to noon.  These programs provide CEUs (2 CORE taught by Steve Gaul plus 2 Landscape & Ornamental taught by Rebecca Jordi).The cost is $5 per person to cover cost of materials, coffee and refreshments. Make checks payable to the Nassau County Extension Office. In 2008 the training sessions are scheduled:

February 12- Tuesday - 8-12 -Callahan Office
November 6- Thursday - 8-12 - Yulee Office

Pesticide Testing

Nassau County Extension Agents Steve Gaul and Rebecca Jordi have scheduled the first Wednesday of every month to administer various pesticide exams such as:  

• Aquatic
• Forestry
• General Standards (CORE)
• Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance
  
• Limited Lawn and Ornamental
• Natural Areas
  
• Ornamental and Turf
• Right of Way
• Limited Structural
  
• Agriculture Private Applicator

If you need to take one of these exams please call  (904) 879-1019 or 904-548-1116, to reserve your test date.  Tests will be administered on the following dates in 2008:

December 3

Each person is responsible for obtaining the proper documentation prior to taking the test.  The tests begin at 8:30am and photo identification must be provided prior to taking the exam.
