Spotlight on Nassau Gardens
Stanley Bunch with a hybrid tea rose named Veterans Rose
The November selection for Spotlight on Nassau Gardens is the garden (or should I say acreage) of Shirley and Stanley Bunch who live on the west side of Amelia Island in a lovely family compound. They celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary next Valentines Day and have lived on this property for 50 years. Stanley grows roses, about 300 roses: hybrid teas, grandifloras, florabundas, climbers, China roses, Rugosas AND knock-outs. He is shown in the photograph with a hybrid tea named Medal of Honor or Veterans Rose which is most appropriate for this month as we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11.
