Becky Jordi spent three days in Orlando, Florida as the UF/IFAS speaker of the 2010 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. The presentations were held in "Garden Town" a building at Epcot devoted to the six week festival which is held March 2 through May 16. Becky's presentation, "Tropical Color" was conducted at 1 PM and 4 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All six sessions were well attended.
Jordi had both live plants and photo examples of plants that add tropical color. She covered the importance of Plant Zones when selecting plants for your gardens. Among the plants shown were (pictured): Crotons, Crown of Thorns, Plumbago and Ixora.
Jordi steps away from the podium into the surrounding plants to discuss the Oleander shrub as a selection for providing tropical color to your landscape.
